CV Axle Replacement
Your CV axles, or (constant velocity joint axles) are the only link between your engine and the front wheels on a front wheel drive vehicle. They generally have two universal joints built into them, and like all mechanical mechanisms can wear out under the torque that your engine inflicts upon them. The only option for a worn out CV axle is replacement. You often have the option to install re-manufactured axles or new ones. This decision will all depend upon whether you want to spend a little more money for a new unit. New axles generally last a bit longer, but re-manufactured units have proven to work reliably.
The cost for CV axle replacement will vary with vehicle.
Please give us a call if you hear popping or clicking when you turn, or a vibration at certain speeds, as these are both signs of a failing CV axle.
